Dr. Perdiguerra featured at UPLB’s Faces of Women in Crop Science 2023
Dr. Kim Nyka C. Perdiguerra, University Researcher of the Crop Physiology Division at the Institute of Crop Science, College of Agriculture and Food Science of the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), and an alumna of the Nagoya University Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences (NU-GSBS) was featured in the recent UPLB Forum on Faces of Women in Crop Science 2023. The event was held in celebration of Women’s Month 2023 on March 23, 2023.
Dr. Perdiguerra obtained her PhD in Agricultural Science from Nagoya University, Japan, under the Transnational Doctoral Program for Leading Professionals in Asian Countries. Her scholarship was funded by the University of the Philippines-Nagoya University Joint Scholarship for PhD. She is currently doing collaborative work with Nagoya University together with her mentor, Dr. Shiro Mitsuya on the use of GxExM approach in understanding salinity problems in salt-stress affected rice areas in the Philippines.
