Workshop Celebrates 10 Years of the Asian Satellite Institute Campuses (ASCI) and Honors Doctoral Law Graduates
On Saturday October 19th, the Nagoya University Graduate School of Law (GSL) celebrated the 10th anniversary of participation in the ASCI program. The celebrations included hosting a workshop that honored those who had graduated from this program over the past ten years.
Professor Mizushima Tomonori acted as the Master of Ceremony for the workshop, which included presentations from six former candidates who completed the program. The six alums included Tsend Tsogt (Mongolia) who graduated in 2017; Alimdjanov Sardor (Uzbekistan) and Dao Gia Phuc (Vietnam), who both graduated in 2019; Sun Chhun Hieng (Cambodia), a 2021 graduate; as well as Nyamdoo Bayarmaa (Mongolia) and Nguyen Thi Anh Tho (Vietnam) who both finished in 2022. The former candidates shared their experiences, insights, and advice to new incoming students. They also discussed their recent research activities while explaining how ASCI played an important role in their present work and study.
The workshop was well-attended and ended with a question and answer period. Following the workshop, all guests and participants were invited for a lunch break held on the first floor of the Asian Legal Exchange Plaza. Inspired by the workshop, everyone toasted another hopeful 10 years of GSL participation in the program.
