Joint Online Entrance Ceremony for Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia – Fall 2025



On 1 October 2025, Nagoya University Asian Satellite Campuses Institute (ASCI) held online entrance ceremony welcoming four new doctoral students of the Transnational Doctoral Programs for Leading Professionals in Asian Countries enrolled from Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia for the fall semester of 2025.

At the beginning of the ceremony, ASCI Director Yamauchi Akira delivered inspiring opening remark followed by Cambodian traditional “Blessing Dance” conveying good wishes and blessing for prosperity, peace, and success to all distinguished guests, students, and participants.

Deans of the respective graduate schools extended their warm congratulatory speeches and welcome messages to all new students.

Supervisors at affiliation of new students also conveyed congratulatory messages and encouraging words showing their kind understanding and supporting to the new academic journey of our new students as well.

In response, all new students expressed their gratitude to both their professional affiliation and Nagoya University for giving them the opportunity to pursue doctoral degree without disrupting their professional work. In return, they are eagerly to have high commitment to conducting high quality research.

The ceremony was concluded with closing remarks from Dr. Michibayashi Katsuyoshi, Professor and Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Environmental Studies.

※ This multi-campus online ceremony was hosted by Nagoya University Cambodia Center (Satellite Campus).  There were 40 participants attending the ceremony online.
