About the Local Satellite Campus
In September 2014, the Vietnam Satellite Campus was established on the grounds of Hanoi Law University, which provides prospective students with a very comfortable study environment. The Satellite Campus is equipped with a video conference system and other distance education tools that enable professors from Nagoya University’s main campus to provide close supervision for the ASCI students.
The Satellite Campus has implemented the Transnational Doctoral Programs for Leading Professionals in Asian Countries with the aim of building human resources for the Vietnamese Government. This program allows Vietnamese Government officials who are interested in furthering their education, an opportunity to obtain a doctorate without disrupting their career.
Available Research Fields
- The doctoral program currently available at the Vietnam Satellite Campus in Vietnam is in the field of law, through the Nagoya University Graduate School of Law (GSL) .
Currently, there is one Vietnamese student enrolled in Nagoya University’s comparative law doctoral program offered through the ASCI program. Not only does the Vietnam Satellite Campus office in Vietnam serve as a point of initial contact for potential candidates concerning information about the ASCI program, but it is also a place that our current student regularly utilizes for academic support and guidance. Because our student is busy with his work at Vietnam’s Association of Foreign Invested Enterprises under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the ASCI academic support staff in Japan provides opportunities (through distance education technology) for academic writing support weekly. Nagoya University is now looking for new applicants for 2016 who are highly motivated and have a strong interest in taking part in the ASCI program.
