Study at Nagoya University Asian Satellite Campuses Institute (ASCI)
On August 9, 2025, Nagoya University Cambodia Center (Satellite Campus) held its first semesteral Open Research Study in alignment with ASCI’s Transnational Doctoral Programs for Leading Professionals in Asian Countries, which allows participants to earn a doctorate through Nagoya University while continuing their professional careers.

The event welcomed ASCI students, Nagoya University alumni (including ASCI alumni), and the public interested in research and collaboration across all fields.
Two current students presented updates on their ongoing research:
* “The Roles of NGOs in the Changing Context in Cambodia” by Mr. OEUNG Jeudy (Graduate School of International Development)

* “Consideration of Relevant Circumstances in Delimiting the Exclusive Economic Zone and the Continental Shelf: The Role of Non-Geographical Factors in Past Jurisprudence and Way Forward” by Mrs. DANY Channraksmeychhoukroth (Graduate School of Law)

Following these insightful presentations, participants engaged in a lively exchange of questions and ideas. This active discussion contributed to the refinement of research positions and directions, the deepening of collective understanding, and the sharing of valuable research experiences.

We look forward to welcoming you to our next Open Research Study session.
Stay tuned for upcoming dates and topics!
