2nd Annual Workshop Featuring ASCI (Law) Graduates

On Tuesday, September 30th, the Nagoya University Graduate School of Law (GSL) hosted its 2nd annual workshop featuring ASCI (Law) graduates, following the successful event held last year to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the ASCI program.

Professor Mizushima Tomonori served as the Master of Ceremony for the workshop, which included presentations by six ASCI (Law) graduates from five countries. The speakers included Nguyen Hoai Son (Vietnam, 2017), Thienchanhxay Viengvilay (Lao PDR, 2020), and Ngo Thi Trang (Vietnam, 2024), alongside Tsend Tsogt (Mongolia, 2017), Alimdjanov Sardor (Uzbekistan, 2019), and Sun Chhun Hieng (Cambodia, 2021).

The first three graduates, who did not participate in last year's workshop, spoke about their professional activities since obtaining their doctoral degree and how their experience in the ASCI program has contributed to their career development.

The latter three graduates, who participated in the previous year's workshop, provided updates on their recent professional activities. They also shared valuable thoughts and ideas regarding potential ASCI 2nd-stage events that the GSL could organize in the future, leveraging the network of ASCI alumni.

Following their presentations, all participants engaged in a discussion focusing on further developing the ASCI program, particularly the structure and purpose of ASCI 2nd-stage events.

Later in the day, after the workshop and a lunch break, the participants attended the university-wide ASCI Research Presentation 2025 given by recent ASCI graduates. Notably, Ngo Thi Trang, one of our ASCI (Law) graduates, was among the presenters.

The GSL looks forward to continuing to organize similar ASCI 2nd-stage events to maintain strong connections with its graduates in the future.
