ASCI Director Isoda Fumio met with the new Minister of Education, Culture, Science, and Sports of Mongolia

Director Isoda Fumio, accompanied by Professor Yoshiaki Shibata of the Graduate School of Education and Human Development, Nagoya University met with the new Minister of Education, Culture, Science, and Sports of Mongolia, Mrs. Tsedenbal Tsogzolmaa on March 29, 2018. Director Isoda provided a detailed explanation of the Transnational Doctoral Programs for Leading Professionals in Asian Countries that Nagoya University is currently offering through the Mongolia Satellite Campus in Ulaanbaatar. The doctoral programs currently available at the Mongolia Satellite Campus are the fields of law, environmental sciences, and medicine and are expected to expand into education from October 2018. Director Isoda highlighted the importance of the program for promoting academic cooperation and joint research between the two countries.


 
Minister Tsogzolmaa acknowledged the great importance of educational programs for the bilateral relations of Japan and Mongolia and expressed her appreciation for the support to Mongolia’s education sector. She thanked Nagoya University for its initiatives and expressed her full support for the transnational doctoral program and other educational and research projects in Mongolia.
